I still remember that before saying goodbye to my dear hometown which was raining all day long at that time, my mum told me that I need to learn how to look after myself.

It took us really a long time to get there. First 4-hour ride on bus, then 12-hour- flight and finally 2 hours’ ride on car. Such a lengthy journey made almost everyone tired

After registration, I received my ID card which was connected to a key fob. Since everything was OK, I went upstairs and entered in my room F15. To be honest, the living condition there  out. It was already 11: 30 p.m. London time when we got Felsted school. Then we were guided into a lounge in a dormitory building, waiting to know which room we will live in .was wonderful. That was a double room with a small individual bathroom. I liked the cleanliness and large trunk space very much.

The first morning in Britain was amazing. Looking out of the window, I was obsessed with the pure sky and the serene circumstance which was absolutely different from that of China.  The breakfast here was in a total western style. Something like bread, ice milk, oatmeal and jam in all taste were provided every day. Actually the schedule was very tight on the first day because many foreign groups hadn’t come yet. All we needed to do was visiting the whole school . What's more, we had to take some rest since the following days would be very fulfilling. That night, we watched the famous film HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON.

The separation of the classes were depended on your exam score .Frankly speaking, this examination mainly tested the students' grammar and vocabulary ability. However, the quality of the classes lied in the listening and speaking skills . The system was confusing and many young students  might fail to understand what the teacher said. On Monday morning, everyone had their first English lesson. My teacher Sian was a standard English ,who was beautiful and optimistic. Our class was made up of 11 people: 3 Chinese , 4 Argentina and 4 Italian. For me , I could learn about the teacher's instruction easily, but I really felt sorry about the pronunciation of the foreigners' . That 's  strange. I even didn't know what they were saying! That made me very embarrassed because maybe I needed to pretend 'Ah I know'. Undeniably, the lessons at the school were interesting and colorful.  Our teacher would talk about the topics which were approaching to life and hold several fantastic games ( The reason why I consider it fantastic was  that the winner will get the unique price) Since the students were divided into 3 teams ,during most of the time, we worked together as a group. Furthermore, the tutors here usually emphasized the importance of solidarity. In this way, many youth were clear about the magic of coloration.Although the process of learning was comfortable and relaxing, we also learn many traditional uses in local English, like some idioms .Sometimes I though that language was fantastic because if you use more , it will improve more quickly.  The short period after supper was for homework. I doubt that must be my first time to finish my homework when sitting or even lying on the grass. Each student conversed on the grass and exchanged their own opinions regarding the issue, that was what I've never thought of before. What’s more, the questions which needed us to answer were entertaining . For example, one of our homework was that write down your native proverb  which share the same meaning with the British proverb on the paper. Then translate it into English.  This homework almost made Sian mad because she seemed not to understand any of them, no matter the Italian one or the Chinese one.

After the first two English classes , we had a period of break time. Students could do whatever they want ,no matter listening to music or playing table tennis. And then, we needed to go to another classroom to have another teacher's class. Finally, this teacher would lead us to the dinning hall to have lunch. What  was different from China was that Felsted school didn't have lunch break. So as soon as

we completed meal, all the students needed to come back to the building where we had classes before and continue our study. I chose Maths as my major before. Consequently, this time was for Maths. Our Maths teacher was a good-tempered old man .He likes arranging some Olympian Maths problems to us, which were like playful entertainment. I was fond of a kind of special game which was like recreational gambling . The rule was that  firstly we created  a 5-lattice form. Then the teacher would pick up a card and  read  its number from a pair of cards. Next, we had to put these numbers into each lattice and make sure they are in the right order  . For example, if the teacher quoted 12, but there weren't any blank because nobody knew what would happen for the next one .  What’s more, I ween11and 13, you were out. Many students enjoyed the thrilling a lot  that though mostly we Chinese always hit the high in the formal  teats. However, the students from other countries did better in the gambling game. It was worth mentioning that during most of the time, we studied by ourselves on a website called my maths. The website was amazing . A great deal of knowledge points  were classified into many sorts. And each point had its own challenge to consolidate the formation of the point.

Here comes the part I want to discuss more, yeah , the sports. I had to admit that before the trip to England ,I never tried to play football and I never felt excited about that. But in the sports lessons, I indeed wanted to engage in the competition and fought with my team members. That was where this experience changed me most. I still remembered that once I was the goalkeeper, but sadly I lost 3 balls because I was so afraid of the short shot and I couldn't see where the ball come from since someone blocked my view . After that game , I made up my mind to strengthen my physical quality in my free time  since I found myself  so weak compared to the foreign  teenagers. In addition , maybe sometimes we  were short of the spirit of trying and  adventure. Whereas, meanwhile in this view,I also discovered that some of the foreigners were not so friendly as we considered before.I knew we Chinese couldn't do some sports as well as those boys and girls since we really didn't have time to practice more. In this way,  they usually don’t like Chinese and hate to do sports with Chinese. All right, what I mention here was just part of them.  And what almost drove me crazy was that they like chatting loudly and playing music with loudspeaker box. Oh my gosh! Why they are so rude!  This experience also gave me a comprehensive and objective cognition of the people from different countries. Though  we couldn't  judge a country just according to individuals' behaviors, we might spy something national hidden in their blood. For instance, Argentina were enthusiasm but aggressive. Italian were casual but discursive. Chinese were introverted but faint-earthed. Actually we eventually took part in lots of outdoor sports, and something created by the teachers were so weird and I almost lost face. Do you know? I needed to crawl through the grass with my partner holding my feet. Oh I don't want to recall this memory any more.  The time after sports time was for clubs. Your could  choose clubs whatever you want . I selected rambling, which was a simple activity just  needed you to go around the fields in the huge school and enjoyed the natural sights. Every day we had to walk such a long way that let me exhausted. However , at last I realized that the routes made by the young teachers were depending on where they could find elf because they were the loyal players of the popular game Pokemon Go. I was in an embarrassing situation in which laughs and cries are out of place. What's more, on the day before leaving Felsted school, when my body had been restored , our dear teachers arranged half-day  outdoor adventure activities for us. So once again, I got serious backache since I shook violently on the device.  I was very lucky because the teacher in front of me encouraged me all along despite I was really scared .  I had a sense of accomplishment after this try e.s. Satisfaction. And in the Art club, we created a castle with paperboard which was fascinating. Because of well done, we got chocolate as a price. But indeed, what we enjoy most was the process.

During these several days' contact, we knew many foreigners and made friends with them. They were open not only in behavior but also in mind. They were mostly used to giving hug to express their love . Many of them liked to wear perfume and something to stop sweating.  They take shower in the morning sometimes and changed clothes on the same day. When contacting with them, I felt my mind open and ready to develop some good habits.

In the second week, we watched Wall-E and Life of Pi. We had a good time. Actually I used to think that the disco was waltz or something formal. Whereas before the disco, I found I was wrong. Girls are prepared well and wore shorts and vests. When we got the small hall, the light were turned off, and the music playing was DJ dance music. At the very beginning, all of us were shy and didn’t know how to move. However, with the heating-up atmosphere, we could not help moving our bodies when following the rhythm of the exciting music. A great deal of people released themselves and didn’t pay attention to the others’ prejudice any more. I felt happier and more relaxed after dancing for a while. The girls who were hot and open were willing to invite other girls and boys to follow her step and dance with her. They were really great.

On the first week, we visited Thorpe Park , an amusement park, and Regent Street. I looked around some characteristic British streets. In my view, the blokes were not quite  wide. But they were clean and the  buildings along the road were very classical . I loved the style which contained bright colours, especially the vivid flowers.  Many flowers were placed into baskets made of bamboo which created a quaint favor. Then these beautiful baskets were put in the balcony or below the window. Once someone told me that English mostly have a good sense of order , but I think they are not so boring as we thought before. They prefer to have a free life and are willing to risk to do something with a brave heart.

What is important to mention was that many of us missed Chinese food very much during the 15-day study. And since time passed by, in a twinkling , the day for leaving finally came. I grudged the friends and the teachers here although in the beginning I didn’t like this place very much. I was still regretful about something because I didn’t put my heart into them. If I tried more, maybe the events would be worthier to be remembered.

We left at 3 p.m. London time. On the way to the airport, I went over the things happened in England with a pleasant emotion. To my surprise, I did much more than I imagined. I love England ,and I like this trip very much. After this experience, I learnt a lot.
